Marty Robbins - Sweet Bird Of Paradise (Musical Journey To Caribbean & Mexico)
Love with it's wings
Flies far beyond my reach
Love, hear my call
Fly closer, I beseach
Oh, fly to me (oh, fly to me)
Sweet bird of Paradise
Don't let me be
Life's empty sacrifice
Why must you be (why must you be)
Always a mystery
Oh, fly to me
Sweet bird of Paradise
Love with it's wings
Flies far beyond the blue
Love, heard no call
So I cannot persue
Farewell to thee (farewell to thee)
Sweet bird of Paradise
You've let me be
Life's empty sacrifice
Now all you'd be (now all you'd be)
Is just a memory
Farewell to thee
Sweet bird of Paradise

Marty and John Cash reign supreme, not like the lollipop country singers of today.

If you were stuck in the desert with no water and all you had was an ipod with this song on it, i think it would be the next best thing! marty and the boys paint the picture so well with their smooth tones. Long Live Marty!!

In the mid 70's aged about 10, i met Marty back stage at the Horden Pavillion in Sydney Australia. He was really cool, talked to me for about 10 min and posed for photos with me and my dad....great singer too. I always loved the red album with him dressed in black, crouching with his 6 shooter...ahhh the memories.
